For flee and tick treatment mix 5-6 drops of oregano oil in a gallon of water and use it as a final rinse after washing your pet. It is best to do this in a jug and shake the mixture well before pouring it on your pet. The oil will separate from the water quickly so it is important to pour it on your pet immediately after mixing so it doesn’t irritate their skin.
11. Natural Bug Repellent
Oregano oil works excellently as an insect repellent. It can be very effective for mosquitoes, ticks, flees, bedbugs, and lice. It’s also a much safer alternative to bug sprays that contain DEET. You can even grow Oregano in your garden to act as a natural bug repellent around your house.
To make a bug spray just add a few drops of oregano oil to a spray bottle with water. You could also add citronella oil and other essential oils like peppermint, rosemary, and lavender which are also thought to help repel insects.
12. Wart Treatment
Warts usually appear on the hands and feet, known as palmer warts and plantar warts, but they can appear almost anywhere on the body. Warts can be very irritating and painful and can take months or years to go away. Oregano oil can be very effective in burning off warts due to its high concentration of carvacrol. It is recommended to mix a few drops of oregano oil with a small amount of neem oil which is also effective on warts.
